Salman Khan's much-anticipated film ‘Sikandar’ is going to hit the theatres on Sunday, March 30. Ahead of the film's release, the makers have finally dropped the trailer and it shows Bhai in all his glory. The trailer launch event in Mumbai was attended by the entire star cast including Salman and Rashmika Mandanna. Ever since its production started, ‘Sikandar’ has been in the news for many reasons, including the huge age gap between the lead pair. Salman Khan is 59 years old, while Rashmika Mandanna is 28.

At the trailer launch event, the topic of the age gap between the duo came up. And it was then that Salman Khan fired back at his critics, saying if Rashmika doesn't have any problem and her father doesn’t have any issues, then why do others have an issue with it.

During a conversation on stage, Salman Khan brought up the topic of people take pot shots at him for working with a young actress and the 31-year age gap between him and the 'Pushpa' star.

When the host complimented him for his looks, Salman replied, “Beech mein aisa gadbad ho jaata hai ki 6-7 raat soye nahin, fir vo social media vaale peeche padd jaate hain, unko dikhaana padta hai ki abhi bhi hai.”

“Phir woh bolte hain 31 years ka difference hai heroine aur mujh mein, arrey jab heroine ko problem nahi hai, heroine ke papa ko dikkat nahi hai, tumko kyun dikkat hai bhai? Inki shaadi hogi, bachchi hongi, toh unke sath bhi kaam karenge. Mummy ka permission toh mil hi jayega,” he added.

Rashmika Mandanna cracked up after hearing what Salman Khan had to say.

Speaking of 'Sikandar', the film is directed by 'Ghajini' fame AR Murugadoss and it has been bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala.

The trailer of the film sees Salman Khan in a larger-than-life avatar. 'Sikandar' revolves around Salman trying to eradicate a crime racket in Mumbai. Rashmika plays Salman's love interest.

'Sikandar' also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan, Prateik Babbar and Sathyaraj.
