"Ladko Ka Chakkar...": Salman Khan Defends His 'No Low Neckline' Rule For Women On His Movie Sets
Salman Khan has opened up about the “no low neckline” rule for the women on his film sets after Palak Tiwari spoke about it during ‘KKBKKJ’ promotions.
Megastar Salman Khan, who marked his return to the big screen after a hiatus with his Eid release 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', had been promoting his movie extensively. And in the latest Bollywood news, the actor made an appearance on Rajat Sharma's India TV show 'Aap Ki Adalat'. It was during this episode that Salman Khan decided to address his no deep neckline rule for women on his film sets.
For the unversed, actress Palak Tiwari, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, had revealed before the release of the film that Salman Khan has a rule for women on his sets, and as per that, they are not allowed to wear plunging necklines.
Now, Salman Khan has defended his stance by saying that the bodies of women are precious and should be covered.
Journalist Rajat Sharma first initiated the conversation about the same, accusing Salman of having double standards as he himself takes off his shirt in every movie.
Replying to this, Salman Khan said, "There is no double standard in it. I feel that a woman’s body is a lot more precious, so as much as it is covered, I feel it’s better.”
As per the Indian Express, Rajat Sharma then questioned Salman, saying the actor himself had starred in his first ad commercial, wearing just boxers.
To this, the actor said, "At that time it was okay. The atmosphere is bad these days.”
When asked if this rule of his is only for girls, Salman Khan said, "Ye ladkiyo ka chakkar nahi hai, ye ladko ka chakkar hai. Jis hisab se ladke ladkiyo ko dekhte hai, aapki behne, aapki biwiya, aapki mothers, wo mujhe acha nahi lagta."
"Sab jaante hai, par kabhi kabhi inki neeyat kharab ho jaati hai, to koshish hai ki hum jab picture banaye, to hum unko ye mauka na de ki ye aake humare heroines ko, humari auraton ko iss prakar se dekhe," he added.
Talking about 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', the new Hindi Bollywood movie has been directed by Farhad Samji.
The film stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vinali Bhatnagar.
The new Hindi Bollywood movie has been bashed left, right, and centre by critics, while the audience has given a mixed review to the latest Hindi movie, with some calling it "paisa vasool", while others have termed it as a "disaster".
