Salman Khan Reveals He Plans To Have Kids Soon, Twinkle Khanna Jokes He Might Have “12 Already”
Salman Khan revealed that while he has no plans to adopt, he does want to have children soon and says his large family will be ready to help raise them.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who once famously dubbed himself the “eternal virgin” on Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’, has now revealed that he plans to have children. The superstar, who turns 60 in December, shared in a new talk appearance that while adoption has never appealed to him, he does intend to have kids someday – and is confident that his large family will be more than ready to help raise them.
The revelation came during a chat on Amazon Prime Video’s new show ‘Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle’, where Salman appeared alongside Aamir Khan.
Twinkle Khanna playfully teased him, calling him the “eternal virgin” before adding, “He may have 12 (children) and we don’t know about them, and you (Salman) may not know as well.”
Salman responded with his trademark wit: “You would have gotten to know if I had (children).” When Twinkle suggested that even he might be unaware, Salman quipped, “I would have been the first one to know. They would have come.”
When asked directly if he had ever considered adoption, Salman Khan gave a firm no. But he quickly clarified his intent to start a family, saying, “Children, I will have one day. Soon…” When Twinkle pressed him for a timeline, the star kept things vague but hopeful: “Whenever… It’s just that eventually, one will have kids but… let’s see. God willing.”
Coming from one of Bollywood’s most well-known families, Salman Khan explained that he wouldn’t have to raise his children alone. With four siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended relatives, he noted he already has a strong support system in place.
“And there is a whole village, a whole zilla to take care of the children. You know, there are women in the family. Now Alizeh has grown up and Ayaan has grown up. And now we have Aayat. By the time I have kids, even Aayat will be able to take care of the kids,” Salman Khan said.
Kajol then asked if his parents, legendary writer Salim Khan and Salma Khan, ever pressured him into marriage or fatherhood. Salman was clear that they had not. “There has never been any pressure from Dad, Mom or anybody to get married or to have children,” he said.
‘Two Much’ is produced by Banijay Asia and will premiere its first episode on Prime Video today, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.
