Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned in promoting ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’, the much-anticipated Netflix series that marks his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. While the buzz around the project was already strong, what truly sent fans into a frenzy was his unexpected reunion with actress Rani Mukerji during the promotions. The two, one of Bollywood’s most iconic on-screen pairs, came together for a dance that instantly went viral.
On Monday, Shah Rukh Khan surprised fans with an Instagram post that featured him and Rani romancing each other with ‘Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri’, a romantic track from Aryan Khan’s debut series, playing in the background.
The video showed SRK romancing Rani in his signature style, despite sporting a broken arm. Dressed in a blue sweater, baggy denims, and a white beanie, the superstar danced with ease, while Rani kept it casual yet chic in wide-legged jeans and an oversized white shirt. Sharing the video, Shah Rukh wrote, “National award… hum dono ki adhoori khwahish poori ho gayi… yay… congratulations Rani, you are a queen and love you always. #TuPehliTuAakhri #TheBadsOfBollywood.”

The reunion hit fans right in the feels, with many drawing parallels to their evergreen pairing in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. One comment read, “Rahul and Tina in a parallel universe,” while another declared, “On-screen King and Queen.” Fans gushed over their undeniable chemistry, with one user adding, “Our Rahul and Tina are back.”
The video carried extra significance given both SRK and Rani’s historic wins at the National Awards this year – Rani won Best Actress for ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’, while Shah Rukh clinched Best Actor for ‘Jawan’, sharing the honour with Vikrant Massey (12th Fail).
The song ‘Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri’, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, sung by Arijit Singh, and penned by Kumaar, has already become a fan-favourite, featuring Lakshya and Sahher Bambba. But with Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji’s impromptu performance, the track has taken on an entirely new emotional dimension for audiences.
Directed and written by Aryan Khan, ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ is described as a satire on the Hindi film industry. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series features Lakshya and Sahher Bambba in lead roles, along with Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Manish Chaudhari, and Gautami Kapoor. It is slated to premiere on Netflix on September 18.
Meanwhile, fans of SRK and Rani have even more to look forward to – the duo will reportedly reunite on the big screen in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action-thriller ‘King’. The film will also star Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles, making it one of the most anticipated projects on the horizon.
