Shah Rukh Khan Confirms 'Dunki' Releasing On Christmas 2023
At the 'Jawan' press meet in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed that 'Dunki' would be releasing in 2023 only.
Shah Rukh Khan has had a tremendous 2023 so far with his releases 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' wreaking havoc at the box office. The Atlee-directorial 'Jawan' released on September 7, and it has already made more than Rs 350 crore nett in India while 'Pathaan' became the highest-grossing Hindi movie in India, with a collection of Rs 543 crore. In the latest entertainment news, the cast members and technicians all involved with 'Jawan' came under one roof to celebrate the success of their movie. The event took place on Friday in Mumbai and it was a star-studded affair with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi, Atlee, and Sanya Malhotra all in attendance.
It was during the event, that SRK confirmed that his next release 'Dunki' will be releasing this year only.
"Mashallah, God has been very kind, we have had, the God has been even kinder with 'Jawan'. I always tell ki 26 January se humne shuruwat ki, Republic Day, it is a good auspicious day. Janmashtami, Krishna ji ke janamdin pe humne yeh film (Jawan) release ki. Abhi naya saal aa raha hai, Christmas hai, uspe hum Dunki lekar aayenge. Aur, national integration rakhta hoon, jab meri film release hoti hai, uss din Eid to hoti he hai," said SRK at the event.

For the unversed, earlier it was announced that 'Dunki' would be releasing in theatres on December 2022, 2023, but there were rumours that the Rajkumar Hirani directorial would be postponed. However, SRK has now put an end to all rumours. 'Dunki' also stars Boman Irani and Taapsee Pannu in leading roles.
Talking about the 'Jawan' press meet, it was a star-studded affair. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander gave a power-packed performance and he performed songs like 'Zinda Banda', 'Chaleya', and 'Jawan Theme'. Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan also shook a leg to 'Chaleya'.

Talking about 'Jawan', the new Hindi movie which released on the occasion of Janmashtami 2023, made Rs 75 crore nett in India on the opening day of its release.
The Atlee directorial also stars Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi.
‘Jawan’ also features Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo appearances.
The film is a mass entertainer and features SRK in double roles of Azad and Vikram Rathore. ‘Jawan’ focuses on the journey of a man who sets out to correct the wrongs of society with the help of a group of women.
