“You Will Never Be...”: Shah Rukh Khan Reveals Why He’s Considered A “Joke” In His House
SRK recently spoke about the misconceptions of being “lonely” at the top. He also revealed why he is considered a “joke” in his home.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the first World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) Summit. He was involved in a session titled ‘The Journey: From Outsider to Ruler’ with Deepika Padukone. The session, which was moderated by director and producer Karan Johar, saw SRK speaking about the misconceptions of being “lonely” at the top. He also revealed why he is considered a “joke” in his home. King Khan said that he can never feel lonely because of his three kids - Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
Speaking at the summit, he said, “You know you’re asked if it’s lonely at the top. I would just like to tell everyone here, those who are young and have kids, even those who are my age and have kids.”
“You will never be lonely if you can make your children laugh, and those who don’t have children, if you can make your parents laugh, will never be lonely,” he added.
The ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ further spoke about how he is not treated seriously at his own house because of his funny nature.
“Main itna funny hoon mere bacchon ke liye, that even when I scold or try to discipline them…I also scolded Deepika while shooting Om Shanti Om. When I say something, like listen, you have to sleep by 10 o’clock or something. What do they do? Oh my god, S R K. So, I am a joke in my house,” he shared.
These comments made Deepika laugh out aloud. For the unversed, the four-day WAVES Summit is being held at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) in Mumbai. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
Numerous stars such as Shah Rukh, Deepika, Karan Johar, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Hema Malini, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, and others, are attending the summit.
Speaking about SRK’s work front, he recently lent his voice to the Hindi version of Disney's 'Mufasa: The Lion King'. It released in Indian theatres on December 20, 2024.
SRK will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s 'King', alongside Suhana Khan. The film will reportedly also star Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma. The movie is being jointly bankrolled by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix Pictures.
SRK was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki'. The superstar had delivered three hits in 2023 in the form of 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki'.
'Pathaan' marked Shah Rukh Khan's return to the big screen after a gap of more than four years after his 2018 film ‘Zero’ tanked at the box office.
