SRK Says Fans’ Love For His 2023 Movies Was Audience’s Way Of Saying “Chaar Saal Ke Liye Mat Jaaya Karo…”
Shah Rukh Khan was seen in three hit movies, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’, in 2023.
Shah Rukh Khan, who made a successful comeback in 2023 with Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’, went on to deliver the biggest hit of his decades-long career in the form of ‘Jawan’, which also became the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time. His third release of 2023, ‘Dunki’ performed decently well at the box office. King Khan can’t stop celebrating, and rightly so. The Bollywood megastar recently met his fans at Yash Raj Studio to celebrate ‘Dunki’. For the unversed, ‘Dunki’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Pathaan’ in total grossed over Rs 2,600 crore globally.
During the special fan event, King Khan revealed that he was gripped with self-doubt after his last few films didn’t work at the box office.
A fan page dedicated to Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) and dropped a video from the special event.

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan said, “I have been working for 33 years. And you take such a big gap, normally you do feel a little nervous. You feel ki are yaar I hope I have got the film right.”
“Usse pehle meri kuch films thi jo itni achi nahi gayi thi toh mujhe ye bhi lagne laga tha ki main achchi films bana nahi raha hoon. But I think that more than my films, ek pyaar tha logo ka jo Pathaan ke liye, Jawan ke liye, Dunki ke liye… this whole country and people outside this country from India have actually taken me to their heart more than the films and said ki are yaar chaar saal ke liye mat jaaya karo, do chaar mahine theek hain,” Shah Rukh Khan added.
King Khan further said, “So I am thankful to you, the audience and the whole world for making me realise that jo main karta hoon vo theek karta hoon aur mujhe vo baar baar karte rehna chahiye.”
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Sanju’ fame, ‘Dunki’ was a social comedy drama that released in December 2023 and clashed with Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ at the box office.
The 2023 Hindi movie, co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani, opened to decent reviews.
Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce his upcoming projects as the superstar is said to be in talks with several filmmakers to sign his next.
Sujoy Ghosh’s next directorial venture ‘The King’, which would mark the big screen debut of SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, was set to feature him in a special role. But there is no clarity on whether or not Shah Rukh Khan is going ahead with the project.
