As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Dunki' minted Rs 227 crore in India, and according to production house Red Chillies Entertainment, the film grossed more than Rs 470 crore worldwide.

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan made a smashing return in 2023 as he delivered three box office hits in the form of 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki'.

'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' emerged as top-grossing Hindi films of 2023. Together, these three films are the biggest hits of Shah Rukh Khan's career.

'Jawan' and 'Dunki' are currently streaming on Netflix, while 'Pathaan' is available on Amazon Prime Video.

'Pathaan' made Rs 1,050 crore worldwide, while 'Jawan' grossed more than Rs 1,100 crore at the global box office.

Rajkumar Hirani had previously said that SRK told him that 'Dunki' would not open to figures like 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.

Speaking to News18, Rajkumar Hirani said, "After doing two back-to-back action films, Shah Rukh was looking forward to Dunki. Shah Rukh is an intelligent man and was aware that people were following a trend and liking action films. He had always told me not to expect huge numbers at the box office initially. He knew it was a slow burner and the audience and family would eventually lap up to the film and start coming in.”
