Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' Trailer Beats Prabhas' 'Salaar’ To Achieve This Massive Feat
Shah Rukh Khan unveiled 'Dunki' trailer on Tuesday, and it has set the internet on fire.
Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas are all set to go head-to-head in December 2023 as their movies 'Dunki' and 'Salaar' will be clashing at the box office. 'Dunki' will be releasing in theatres on December 21, and 'Salaar' will release a day later, on December 22. SRK had unveiled the 'Dunki' trailer on Tuesday morning, and it has set the internet on fire. There are several reactions to the trailer, with some calling it "blockbuster", while others found it "very mid."
For the unversed, 'Dunki' marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani. In the latest entertainment news, 'Dunki' trailer has become the most-watched Hindi trailer ever in the first 24 hours on YouTube, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.
'Dunki' managed to attain 58.5 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours, while 'Salaar' directed by Prashanth Neel is at the second spot with 53.75 million views.
'Adipurush' is at the third spot with 52.22 million views, while Ranbir Kapoor's 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' is at the fourth spot with 50.96 million views.
Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' holds the fifth spot with 50.60 million views.
Talking about 'Dunki', the movie also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal. The film is based on 'donkey flight', an illegal immigration entry technique into countries like the US, UK and Canada.
'Dunki' has been written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon and it has been bankrolled by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan.
Speaking of 'Salaar', the film directed by Prashanth Neel, also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan.
Earlier, Prashanth Neel said that no filmmaker desires a clash, be it with a newcomer or a veteran like Rajkumar Hirani.
"Clash is not something you ideally want, be it with a newcomer or with the biggest star of Indian cinema. But it is a very unpleasant situation for anybody to move their date to somebody else's date. We also wouldn't want somebody to move to our date when we have announced it a year before. And we also did not want to do it. But that was a logistical decision that was taken only by the production," Prashanth Neel told Times of India.
"And usually we (me and my team) don't get into the aspects of what the production is going to decide as a release date, because they do not interfere in my process of filmmaking. So I do not interfere in their process of marketing or the release dates, the business aspect," he added.
