"King Rocks": Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Nominated For Best International Film At Astra Awards 2024
'Jawan' has been nominated in the Best International Feature category of the Astra Film and Creative Arts Awards (ASTRA Awards).
Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' is currently the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. The Atlee directorial starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Deepika Padukone released in theatres in September 2023, and it went on to do a business of more than Rs 600 crore in India. In the latest entertainment news, 'Jawan' has been nominated in the Best International Feature category of the Astra Film and Creative Arts Awards (ASTRA Awards).
The nominations were announced by the Hollywood Creative Alliance. With this, 'Jawan' has joined the likes of 'Barbie', 'Oppenheimer', 'Killer of the Flower Moon', 'John Wick', 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse', and several other box office hits in the nomination list.
In the Best International Feature category, 'Jawan' has been nominated alongside Anatomy of a Fall (France), Concrete Utopia (South Korea), Fallen Leaves (Finland), Perfect Days (Japan), Radical (Mexico), Society of the Snow (Spain), The Taste of Things (France), The Teacher’s Lounge (Germany), and The Zone of Interest (United Kingdom).

For the unversed, 'Jawan' had premiered on Netflix on November 2, 2023. Netflix India had then confirmed that 'Jawan' is now the most-watched film in India across all languages on the platform.
"Vikram Rathore has hijacked our hearts and records! Jawan is now the most-watched film in India in the first 2 weeks of launch, across all languages, on Netflix! Watch Jawan in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, now streaming on Netflix," Netflix India's official handle wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
'Jawan' is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film was released worldwide in theatres on September 7th, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The film is currently streaming on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. 'Jawan' also features special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
Talking about SRK, the actor will next be seen in 'Dunki', directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The movie is slated to release in December 2023.
