Shahid Kapoor Names The Most "Adult Film" Of His Career
Shahid Kapoor, who is awaiting the release of 'Bloody Daddy', named the most “adult film” he has done.
Shahid Kapoor is currently awaiting the release of his latest Hindi movie titled 'Bloody Daddy'. The film which has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar will be premiering on JioCinema on June 9 and fans can watch the flick free of cost on the streaming platform. The trailer of 'Bloody Daddy' came out on Wednesday and at the trailer launch, Shahid Kapoor named the most adult film of his career.
"Mere life ki sabse adult film maine ki hai woh hai Kabir Singh. People told me that it won't work or find more audience. But it became the biggest hit of my career. So, lets look at things in a new way, let's try newer things," Shahid Kapoor said.
Talking about 'Kabir Singh', the movie was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film was a remake of Vanga's own Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy'. Shahid Kapoor played the role of a surgeon who eventually spirals into self-destruction when his girlfriend, played by Kiara Advani, leaves him.
The movie was a huge success but it also received backlash for glamourising misogyny and toxic masculinity.
Earlier this year, Shahid Kapoor had made his OTT debut with Amazon Prime Video's show 'Farzi'.
Talking about 'Bloody Daddy', the new Hindi movie also stars Ronit Roy and Sanjay Kapoor and the duo would be playing drug lords in this action flick.
In the 'Bloody Daddy' trailer, Shahid Kapoor can be seen having a face-off with Ronit Roy and Sanjay Kapoor.
'Bloody Daddy' also stars Diana Penty and Rajeev Khandelwal in pivotal roles.
The new Hindi movie would be premiering directly on JioCinema. 'Bloody Daddy' which has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, would be releasing on June 9, 2023.
