Shanaya Kapoor To Make Her Pan-India Debut With Mohanlal's ‘Vrushabha’, Karan Johar Pens Heartfelt Note For Her
Karan Johar penned a heartfelt note for Shanaya Kapoor as she joined the cast of Mohanlal’s ‘Vrushabha’.
Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is all set to make her pan-India debut with Mohanlal’s next film ‘Vrushabha’. After Ektaa R Kapoor announced the project through a social media post, Karan Johar penned a heartfelt note for Shanaya Kapoor, giving a big shout-out to her. In the lengthy Instagram post, KJo acknowledged that Shanaya Kapoor’s journey might be perceived as privileged due to her “lineage”, but he also mentioned how determined she has always been as a person.
For the unversed, Shanaya Kapoor is managed by the Dharma Cornerstone Agency, co-owned by Karan Johar.

Responding to Karan Johar, Shanaya Kapoor commented, “I love you thank you for always having my back and I can’t wait.”
Ektaa R Kapoor also commented on the post writing, “love u karan all I can say is tum kyaaaa Mile hum na rahe hum tum kya mile.”
Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor also reacted to Karan Johar’s post by dropping heart emojis on the post.
Shanaya Kapoor also spoke about the project and expressed her gratitude. News18 quoted Shanaya Kapoor as saying, “I am highly excited to face the camera and begin shoot, there will be so much to learn and explore from this film. The storyline is a fascinating one which has stayed with me. Also, the film has all big names associated with it, and is being made on a massive scale, it’s the kind of role any young actor would be excited, and inspired to play. Especially so early in one’s career. It’s a dream come true. And with Mohanlal sir on board, I feel honoured to be a part of Vrushabha. Extremely grateful."
‘Vrushabha’ is a joint venture between Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms in association with AVS Studios. The producers of the film also include Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Shyam Sunder and Varun Mathur.
The film will go on floors in London this month and will release sometime next year in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Ektaa R Kapoor had announced the project with a social media post. Ektaa also revealed that Shanaya will be playing a pivotal role in the film.
“With her talent and beauty, Shanaya is sure to steal the show as she plays a pivotal role bridging the gap between past and present timelines starring opposite #RoshanMeka,” a part of Ektaa R Kapoor’s caption read.

Shanaya Kapoor is not the only star-kid venturing into Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda are also making their debut in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film, ‘The Archies’.
‘Vrushabha’ will also feature Salma Agha's daughter Zahrah S Khan. The film will be directed by Nanda Kishore.
Coming back to Shanaya Kapoor, she will make her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's ‘Bedhadak’, co-starring Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada.
