Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra has once again proven that her style game is unmatched, this time by stepping into the shoes of one of cinema’s most stylish icons – Zeenat Aman. Taking her fans on a nostalgic trip, Shilpa Shetty recreated Zeenat’s unforgettable look from the 1971 cult classic ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’, paying tribute to the veteran actress with flair and grace. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, the Bollywood diva wrote, “Paying homage to the epitome of grace, glam and timeless fashion, Zeenat Aman ji.”

Her heartfelt note struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised her for honouring the legendary star while making the look her own.

In the striking photos, Shilpa Shetty stunned in a vibrant yellow printed co-ord set with flared bottoms and a matching long-sleeved top, instantly evoking the hippie-inspired fashion of the 70s.

She styled her hair open and sleek, keeping the essence of Zeenat Aman’s free-spirited character alive. A pair of oversized round sunglasses added the perfect retro touch, while a rudraksh mala draped around her neck further amplified the spiritual-bohemian vibe. Completing the look was a simple yet significant detail – a marigold garland wrapped around her wrist, mirroring Zeenat Aman’s original styling from the film.

Zeenat Aman’s portrayal of Janice in ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ redefined fashion on-screen and became a cultural phenomenon. From her centre-parted hair to her hippie attire, her look symbolized rebellion and freedom, creating a lasting legacy in Indian cinema. Even decades later, her style continues to inspire actors and designers, standing as one of Bollywood’s most iconic sartorial statements.

Directed by Dev Anand, the film dealt with the decline of hippie culture, and Zeenat Aman’s character was central to its narrative. Shilpa Shetty’s recreation not only celebrated this legacy but also introduced a new generation of fans to the timeless glam of the era.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shilpa Shetty is gearing up for her role as Satyavati in the much-anticipated Kannada action film ‘KD: The Devil’. Directed by Prem and featuring an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and Nora Fatehi, the film is slated to release on September 4 under KVN Productions.
