Shilpa Shetty has now reacted to the trolls who criticised her for hoisting the Indian flag with her shoes on.

Shilpa Shetty was really upbeat as she celebrated Independence Day 2023 on August 15 by joining the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. She hoisted the Indian flag at her Juhu home in Mumbai. However, the actress started being trolled on social media for wearing her shoes while hoisting the flag. In the latest entertainment news, Shilpa Shetty has now reacted to the trolls. In the video shared by Shilpa Shetty, she can be seen hoisting the flag during a ceremony which took place in the front yard of her home, along with her son Viaan, mother Sunanda and her staff.

She captioned the post as: "Vande Mataram."

The actress was then trolled for wearing shoes while hoisting the flag. 

Looking at the intense trolling, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram Story, to share a screenshot of her Google search which read, “Can we hoist Indian flag with shoes?” 

The answer to this question was, “The Flag Code of India does not restrict hoisting of the national flag with shoes on.” 

Shilpa Shetty shared the screenshot and wrote “#Facts” on it.

She also left a comment on her own Instagram post in which she was seen hoisting the flag.

"I am aware of the “Rules” of conduct while hoisting the flag ,the RESPECT for my country and THE FLAG stems from my heart and not up for questioning . I am a proud Indian . Today’s post was to share and celebrate that emotion," Shilpa Shetty wrote. 

"To all the trollers( that I ignore usually )DO NOT appreciate YOU airing your ignorance and spreading negativity on this Day . So get your facts rights and please BACK OFF," she added.
