'Animal', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri, has turned out to be quite a polarising film. Many are praising the acting talent of Ranbir Kapoor while others are calling the film highly problematic and misogynistic. In the latest Bollywood movie news, singer Armaan Malik has claimed that he has been getting a lot of hate after he called Ranbir Kapoor "the best actor of our generation."

The singer was mercilessly trolled on social media after Armaan Malik praised Ranbir Kapoor following the release of 'Animal'.

"I hate that by just saying what I felt about somebody being the best actor, so many peeps are coming at me and judging me as person lol you guys really need to chill. I wrote that tweet in admiration of someone’s craft, and that was that. Kindly take your hate elsewhere. Thank you," wrote Armaan Malik on X (formerly Twitter).

Armaan's post comes a day after he posted on X, “#RanbirKapoor is the best actor of our generation. Period (salute emoji).”

Several users agreed with Armaan Malik while others slammed him for his choice.

"Wtf armaan (annoyed emoji). Are you saying this after watching the movie Animal," wrote one user.

“Can never trust a man in my life, can I," wrote one user.

"Lol y'all chill. He said RANBIR IS the BEST ACTOR OF THE NEW GENERATION. Which indeed he is. Armaan ALSO SAID THAT YJHD AND SANJU IS Ranbir's BEST WORK," wrote one user.

Talking about 'Animal', the new Hindi movie which released in theatres, has collected more than Rs 240 crore across all languages in India.

This box office performance of ‘Animal’ is huge considering it is an 'A' (adults only) film and has a runtime of more than 3 hours. ‘Animal’ also clashed with Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' at the box office.

It can be safely said that 'Animal' is expected to rule the ticket counters until Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Dunki’ releases in theatres on December 21. A day later, Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ will also be releasing in theatres.
