We hear wedding bells soon! Get ready for another Bollywood wedding as Sonakshi Sinha is reportedly all set to tie the knot with actor Zaheer Iqbal. As per several reports, Sonakshi Sinha will get married to Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Sonakshi Sinha, who recently featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, will exchange wedding vows with Zaheer Iqbal at a South Mumbai venue. Reportedly, Sonakshi Sinha’s father and actor Shatrughan Sinha has given the celebrity couple his blessings.
As per Hindustan Times, a source close to the affair confirmed that the “wedding rumours are all true”. According to the media outlet, the couple has been living together for close to a year.
“Sonakshi and Zaheer moved in together a while ago. The soon-to-be bride and groom have the blessings of their families. The wedding is going to be an intimate affair, with only the couple’s families and close friends in attendance. Sonkashi doesn't want to give out much details of her wedding before it happens and wants to keep it just in her close circle. Many of her actor friends will also be marking their presence to be a part of the most special day for the couple,” the source shared.
The source further shared, “The wedding planning was on for a while but Sonakshi and Zaheer were waiting for the elections to end. Sonakshi’s father (actor-MP) Shatrughan Sinha was busy as he was contesting from Asansol, West Bengal from TMC party. He emerged victorious at the constituency so now the wedding will be a double celebration as it comes following his victory.”
The wedding guest list reportedly includes close friends, family members and the entire cast of ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’. Reportedly, the wedding invitation resembles a magazine cover with the text “the rumours are true.”
For the unversed, both Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal made their Bollywood debut with Salman Khan's films. While Sonakshi made her debut with ‘Dabangg’ in 2010, Zaheer's first film was ‘Notebook’ in 2019. Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal acted together in ‘Double XL’.
On Sonakshi Sinha’s birthday a few days ago, Zaheer Iqbal wrote a sweet post, adding their pictures together. The first picture showed him embracing Sonakshi in a tight hug. He also included some selfies and a black and white shot. “Happy Birthday Sonzzz,” he wrote in the caption.
However, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have never confirmed their relationship. They have always maintained that they are "just friends".
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal reportedly met each other at a party hosted by Salman Khan. They instantly clicked and became friends.
