Sonam Kapoor Greets Audience With ‘Namaste’ At King Charles III’s Coronation Concert, Stuns In Floral Gown
Anil Kapoor expressed happiness after his daughter Sonam Kapoor’s speech at King Charles III's coronation concert on Sunday.
Sonam Kapoor’s parents, Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor, are on cloud nine. The Bollywood actress recently delivered a speech at King Charles III's Coronation Concert. The event, which took place a day after the historic coronation held in Westminster Abbey, was organised to celebrate the monarch. The actress took the centre stage at the Coronation Concert as she introduced various choir performers of the Commonwealth. Sonam Kapoor attended the event in a stunning floral floor-length gown.
Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram to share pictures of herself in the off-shoulder cream gown with intricate printed floral detailing, designed by two of her favourite designers - Anamika Khanna and Emilia Wickstead - from the two countries - India and the UK - she calls home.

Taking to Twitter, Anil Kapoor shared a video giving a glimpse of Sonam Kapoor’s speech. Along with the clip, he wrote, “Making us so proud!”

An ecstatic Sunita Kapoor also shared a video of Sonam Kapoor’s speech on Instagram along with a heartfelt caption that read, “So proud ! Such an honour.”
Replying to the post, Sonam said, “Love you”. Her cousin, actor Arjun Kapoor dropped red heart and applause emojis.
Their uncle, actor Sanjay Kapoor gave a shout out to Sonam and said, “Great honour.” Maheep Kapoor also dropped heart and clapping emojis.
Actress Neelam Kothari Soni wrote, “This is such an honour” along with a bunch of applause and heart emojis.
Sonam Kapoor, who was introduced as one of the biggest Bollywood celebrities, began her speech with “Namaste”.
The actress said, “Namaste, our Commonwealth is a union. Together we are one-third of the world's people. One-third of the world's ocean. One-quarter of the world's land. Each of our countries is unique, and each of our people is special, but we choose to stand as one, learning from our history.
"Blessed by our diversity, driven by our values, and determined to build a more peaceful, sustainable, and prosperous future for everyone, where every voice is heard.”
The Coronation Concert was also attended by Tom Cruise, Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger and Winnie the Pooh.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Sonam Kapoor will be next seen in Shome Makhija’s ‘Blind’, also starring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey.
