Sonam Kapoor To Represent India At UK PM Rishi Sunak’s Reception During UK-India Week 2023
Sonam Kapoor attended King Charles III's coronation concert in London and will now be seen at UK PM Rishi Sunak’s reception during UK-India Week 2023.
Sonam Kapoor, who is making headlines after the release date of her comeback Bollywood film ‘Blind’ was announced, has been invited by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, for his upcoming reception during UK-India Week 2023. Sonam Kapoor lives in London with her husband and businessman Anand Ahuja and their son Vayu. As per reports, she will be attending the event on behalf of India. This comes after Sonam Kapoor attended King Charles III's coronation concert.
The event, which took place at Windsor Castle in May 2023, was a star-studded affair and many big names marked their presence, including Tom Cruise and Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger. Sonam Kapoor didn’t just attend the event, but also delivered a speech.
Coming back to UK-India Week 2023, she will be seen at the reception which will take place at the UK PM's official residence and office on 10 Downing Street. The UK-India week is being held from June 26 to June 30 in London.
The event intends to honour and strengthen the longstanding partnership between UK and India by providing a platform to talk about several important topics, including politics, trade, business, sustainability, inclusion, and innovation.
Talking about Sonam Kapoor, she shifted to London during the first wave of COVID-19 in India. She married Anand Ahuja in 2018. The couple frequently travelled to London before finally shifting.
The Bollywood actress keeps sharing glimpses of her life in the UK on social media and often visits her family in India.
She welcomed her first baby, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, in August 2022 in India. Later, the much-in-love couple returned to London.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Sonam Kapoor will be next seen in Shome Makhija's upcoming directorial ‘Blind’.
It also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lilette Dubey, and Shubham Saraf. The new Hindi movie, which marks Sonam Kapoor’s OTT debut, will stream on Jio Cinema from July 7.
Jio Cinema has joined hands with RV Motion Pictures and Lead Films to present the new Hindi movie. The new Hindi movie, which is a remake of a Korean film, will revolve around a blind police officer who is on the hunt for a serial killer.
