The makers of 'Stree 2' on Tuesday confirmed that actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor have started filming for the second installment of the popular horror-comedy. The filming began in Madhya Pradesh's Chanderi. The makers confirmed the development through an announcement video. In the clip, we can see how the message to Stree now reads: "Oh Stree raksha karna." For the unversed, the message in the original 'Stree' read: "Oh Stree kal aana."
The new clip also suggests that the new Hindi movie will revolve around the terror of headless demons.
Rajkummar Rao shared the clip on Instagram and wrote: "Ek baar phir Chanderi main fela aantak. Stree 2 filming begins. Aa rahi hai wo August 2024."

'Stree 2' is being directed by Amar Kaushik and it is being backed by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan production.
Earlier this year on April 12, it was announced that 'Stree 2' would be releasing in theatres in 2024.
Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee had taken the stage at the Jio Studios’ Infinite Together event to make the formal announcement.
The plot of 'Stree' revolved around a witch who abducts men at night when they are alone and only leaves their clothes behind.
The movie starred Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee.
'Stree' also received positive reviews, and special praise was directed towards the film's direction, dialogues, and storyline.
Made on a budget of around Rs 20 crore, the movie went on to do a domestic box office business of more than Rs 125 crore.
