Zoya Akhtar’s much-anticipated film ‘The Archies’ has been making headlines ever since it was announced. One of the main reasons behind the teen comedy film’s popularity is the cast featuring several star kids in the lead roles. Now, blessing the Instagram feeds of fans, ‘The Archies’ team showed up at The Bombay Canteen in Lower Parel for brunch on Independence Day 2023. Based on the restaurant’s Instagram page, ‘The Archies’ gang volunteered to lend a hand and pass on the plate at Independence Day Daawat.
Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, singer Aditi Saigal, who goes by her stage name Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda, dressed in their festive best. They were seen serving food to the guests.

The restaurant hosted a feast on Independence Day 2023 with an aim of donating all proceeds from the event towards supporting underprivileged individuals.
This is truly a unique and meaningful way to celebrate Independence Day 2023 while promoting their upcoming Netflix film.
Turning the spotlight back to ‘The Archies’, the film has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stands as the debut project for star kids Suhana Khan (daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan), Khushi Kapoor (daughter of late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor) and Agastya Nanda (grandson of Amitabh Bachchan).
The Hindi film adaptation is based on the comic of the same name. Zoya Akhtar recently took to her Instagram and described each character of the film. Agastya Nanda will play the role of Archie Andrews, Suhana will be seen as Veronica Lodge, Khushi Kapoor will play Betty Cooper, Mihir Ahuja will portray Jughead Jones, Dot as Ethel Muggs, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley and Vedang Raina will play Riggie Mantle.
‘The Archies’ release date is yet to be announced. It has been co-produced by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Sharad Devarajan under their production houses Tiger Baby and Graphic India.
‘The Archies’ is the first OTT feature produced by Tiger Baby Films, co-owned by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. They recently enjoyed success with ‘Dahaad’, a web series starring Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah, co-directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, that streamed on Amazon Prime Video India.
Tiger Baby Films also produced Season 2 of ‘Made in Heaven’ on Prime Video, which recently released to mixed reviews.
