Sunny Deol has announced 'Border 2'. The film is a sequel to the 1999 war drama 'Border', which was directed by JP Dutta.
Actor Sunny Deol, who gave a smash hit in 2023 in the form of 'Gadar 2', on Thursday officially announced 'Border 2'. In the latest entertainment news, Sunny Deol shared the film's announcement video on Instagram. In the video, Sunny Deol says, "27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai." He captioned the post as, "Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2. Produced by Bhushan Kumar , Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta & Nidhi Dutta will be directed by Anurag Singh."

The upcoming Hindi film is slated to be directed by Anurag Singh. No release date has been announced yet.

For the unversed, the original 'Border' had released in cinemas on June 13, 1997. It is on the same date that 'Border 2' has been announced, 27 years later.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, 'Border 2' will also star Ayushmann Khurrana.
The report stated that T-Series and JP Dutta Films are going all out to put together the best possible technical crew for the film.
"A film of this canvas requires massive pre-production and the idea is to get some of the top talents from across the globe on board Border 2. All the stakeholders are well verse in the fact that Border is not just a film but an emotion and will be going all out to deliver an honest film to the audiences. It’s going to be the Biggest War Film of India,” Pinkvilla quoted their source as saying.
