Sunny Leone Responds To Mia Khalifa's Statement On Being "Exploited" In Adult Film Industry

Actress Sunny Leone had a flourishing career in the adult entertainment industry before she moved to India to pursue her acting career. In the latest entertainment news, Sunny Leone opened up on her experience in the adult film industry. For the unversed, Mia Khalifa, who also happens to be part of adult film industry, claimed that she spent just three months in the industry after making a mere Rs 8.75 lakh. Mia Khalifa also claimed that producers continue to mint money from her videos, whereas she was just paid a little more than Rs 8 lakh.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Sunny Leone when asked whether she had a similar experience, said: "No, not at all. I worked with the best people. I have no horror stories. I read through every contract and corrected every single contract, so I was gaining something from it. I was in control of every single thing that I was doing. I do believe that in that industry there are different sides but from my perspective, I was in complete control."
"I saw it as a business. I saw it as a means to get to something else. It wasn’t free for all in my world. Everybody’s experiences are different, mine was totally different," she added.
When asked whether she understands where Mia Khalifa was coming from, Sunny said: "I don’t know how to say it nicely, but if you would have read your contract, you would not have been exploited because there are different things in a contract and you must read it.”
Sunny Leone had made her Bollywood debut with 'Jism 2' in 2012 which also starred Randeep Hooda.
After that, the actress appeared in several dance numbers and minor roles in various films.
Sunny Leone will next be seen in Anurag Kashyap's 'Kennedy'. The movie which also stars Rahul Bhat, had premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
