‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ Motion Poster: Varun, Janhvi Are Out To Break Hearts In This Wicked Rom-Com Ride
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor lead the upcoming rom-com ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, with its motion poster teasing quirky revenge, love, and chaos.
The much-anticipated motion poster of ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, directed by Shashank Khaitan and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, has finally been unveiled. And it promises a riot of colours, chaos, and charm. Bringing back his signature energy, Varun Dhawan took centre stage in a vibrant, over-the-top avatar, showcased through a quirky montage of gridded frames. Janhvi Kapoor complemented him with a dual persona – swinging from geeky and demure to unapologetically glamorous.
The motion poster carried the cheeky tagline: “Two heartbreakers and one wicked plan”, hinting at a fun, twist-filled story.

The sneak peek also introduced the film’s star-studded supporting cast – Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul – all adding to the film’s youthful, festive vibe.
The plot appears to revolve around Varun and Janhvi’s characters teaming up to take revenge on another couple, played by Sanya and Rohit, suggesting a rollercoaster of love, betrayal, and hilarious schemes.
The film is slated to hit cinemas on October 2, 2025, aligning with the Dussehra holiday. While the motion poster has just dropped, fans won’t have to wait long for more – the teaser is scheduled to release on August 28.
‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ also marks the third collaboration between Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan, following their previous hits ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014) and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ (2017), further fuelling expectations of another rom-com blockbuster.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the release date was strategically chosen by Karan Johar and team to leverage the festive advantage.
A source revealed, “Producer Karan Johar and the whole team realized that this is the apt time to bring this romcom. This year, besides Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra also falls on the same day. Hence, it’ll be a festive period and hopefully, it will face no other competition until Diwali. In other words, it will have a clean run for three weeks."
However, the film won’t enjoy a completely solo release. It is expected to clash with ‘Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1’ and ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, setting the stage for an interesting box-office battle.
While details of the plot remain under wraps, the film is rumoured to follow the beloved ‘Dulhania’ template – a comedy of confusion and romantic chaos, rooted in Bollywood’s classic obsession with love at first sight.
