Sushant Singh Rajput's 'MS Dhoni The Untold Story' would be re-releasing in the theatres on this date.
If you are a fan of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, then you are in for a treat as his biggest hit 'MS Dhoni The Untold Story' would be re-releasing in the theatres on May 12 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. The Neeraj Pandey-directorial is based on the life of former India cricket captain MS Dhoni and it chronicled his journey till the 2011 50-over World Cup.
“MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' has not only been an incredibly special film for Star Studios, but also for Indians all over the world, showcasing the inspiring journey of our most successful cricket captain. The re-release aims to give his fans across the country another chance to relive cricket's most magical moments on the big screen,” said Bikram Duggal, Head - Studios, Disney Star in an official statement.
'MS Dhoni The Untold Story' had released in theatres in 2016 and the movie had recorded the second-highest opening that year after Salman Khan's 'Sultan'.
The movie also received mainly positive reviews from the critics.
Before the release of the movie in 2016, MS Dhoni had revealed how he had lost his cool at Sushant, who was preparing for the movie at that time.
"He (Sushant) used to ask one question repeatedly and if he gets a similar answer then he used to believe that I am being honest and then he used to go to the next question," Dhoni had said.
"It was a bit awkward initially to speak about yourself. After 15 mins you get bored talking about yourself and I was like I need a break, I am going," he added.
Apart from Sushant Singh Rajput, 'MS Dhoni The Untold Story' also featured Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Anupam Kher and Bhumika Chawla in pivotal roles.
