'Lust Stories 2' released on Netflix last week and in Sujoy Ghosh's segment, Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia shared a sizzling chemistry. The videos of their intimate scenes in the short film went instantly viral on social media, and now in the latest entertainment news, Tamannaah Bhatia has said that she is puzzled with the "stark" misogynistic comments that have been coming her way for her sensual scenes in the new Hindi movie. She also wondered how the viewers are quick to judge the morality of a female actor being sexual on screen.

“The misogyny is so stark in my face. I was hoping by 2023 that would not be the case, but this time around it felt really stark, primarily because when I started being an actor and I was really young, I was still dancing and looking glamourous. So, it’s not that I have had a non glamourous image and now all of a sudden it is turned into something. I just found it strange that even in 2023, why does a female actor need to have this definition… Like if she doing intimate scenes, it is a personal attack," Tamannaah Bhatia told journalist Barkha Dutt in an interview.

“I have seen men do it all the time, play abusive characters, do violence and probably all kind of things that are illegal, but they become superstars. But an actress, all of a sudden, is bad character. Which makes no sense, I can’t wrap my head around it,” she added.

Speaking further, Tamannaah Bhatia said: "I have read stuff like, ‘Isko kya majboori hai ki ye aise scenes kar rahi hai'.  I found that strange because if tomorrow I play a serial killer, will that make me a bad person?”

“If it wasn’t for that one physical need, none of us would be here. Also, look at our population, so clearly that’s not an issue," she added.

'Lust Stories 2' boasts of a solid star cast including Amruta Subhash, Angad Bedi, Kajol, Kumud Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neena Gupta, Tamannaah Bhatia, Tillotama Shome, and Vijay Varma.

The four stories in the anthology have been directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Konkona Sen Sharma, R Balki, and Sujoy Ghosh.

The first installment of 'Lust Stories' released in 2018 and it was a Hindi-language anthology film, consisting of four short segments directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar.
