'Tiger 3' Day 1 Advance Booking: Salman Khan-Starrer Trailing Behind SRK's 'Pathaan' And 'Jawan
Despite getting a good start, 'Tiger 3' advance booking is trailing behind Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.
'Tiger 3', starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, is one of the most-anticipated Indian movies of 2023, and fans cannot wait to see the action spectacle on the big screen. The new Hindi film will be releasing in theatres on the occasion of Diwali i.e. November 12, 2023. The full-fledged advance booking began on Sunday, and as per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Tiger 3' sold 1,42,030 tickets in total across all platforms and languages in the first 24 hours of the advance booking going live.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the day one advance sales for the first 24 hours at national chains -- PVR, Inox, Cinepolis– stood at nearly 60,000 tickets. These numbers are proof that 'Tiger 3' will make a good start at the box office on Diwali.
However, when one compares this to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan', and 'Jawan', 'Tiger 3' is trailing far behind.
For the unversed, SRK's 'Pathaan', directed by Siddharth Anand, had sold 1,17,000 tickets in the first 24 hours at national chains. 'Pathaan', which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is a part of the same spy universe of YRF.
Talking about 'Jawan', the Atlee-directorial had sold 1,38,000 tickets for day one in the first 24 hours at national chains.
In totality, 'Pathaan' had sold 10,81,091 tickets across India while Jawan sold 15,78,934 tickets across all platforms.
In national chains, 'Jawan' holds the top spot for advance ticket sales in 2023 across national chains as it had sold 5,57,000 tickets for the opening day. 'Pathaan' is at the second spot as it had sold 5,56,000 tickets.
The third spot at national chains day one advance booking in 2023 is currently held by Prabhas' 'Adipurush', as it had sold 2,85,000 tickets for the opening day.
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan will be making cameos in 'Tiger 3' and they will be playing the characters of 'Pathaan' and 'Kabir', respectively.
“Aditya Chopra has set the wheels in motion for a full convergence of super spies within the YRF spy universe,” an industry source told Variety.
“No one knows this but along with Pathaan, Kabir too will make his appearance in ‘Tiger 3.’ A handful of people know how Adi is visualising Kabir in ‘Tiger 3’ and this information is being kept under wraps to be only revealed when it releases in theaters on November 12," the source added.
'Tiger 3' is slated to release in theatres on November 12, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
