Varun Dhawan Faces Intense Backlash For Biting Janhvi Kapoor’s Ear At ‘Bawaal’ Promotions
Varun Dhawan has come under fire for playfully biting his ‘Bawaal’ co-star Janhvi Kapoor’s ear during the promotions of the new Hindi movie.
Varun Dhawan, who is one of the most loved Bollywood actors, has cemented his place in the entertainment industry after starring in movies like ‘Badlapur’, ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, ‘October’, and ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. Currently, he is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film, ‘Bawaal’, along with Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor. Ever since the film’s trailer got released, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have been garnering immense praise for their on-screen chemistry. However, the duo’s recent promotional photoshoot for their new Hindi movie has not gone down well with netizens.
Varun Dhawan has been facing intense backlash for one of the pictures from the shoot.
In one of the pictures, Varun can be seen playfully biting Janhvi Kapoor’s ear while holding her from the waist.

While Janhvi looked pretty in a black off-shoulder dress, Varun Dhawan wore a black jacket. Even though Varun Dhawan was being goofy with his female co-star, many users were irked by his antics.
As soon as the pictures from the promotional shoot went viral, netizens on Reddit began criticising Varun Dhawan.
One Reddit user wrote, “I don't know why people are saying he shouldn't do all this because he is married. He just shouldn't do all this even if he was single.”

In April 2023, Varun Dhawan faced immense backlash for lifting and kissing American supermodel Gigi Hadid on stage. However, Varun had clarified on Twitter that it was “planned".
Soon after Varun Dhawan’s statement, Gigi Hadid had reposted the viral video on her Instagram Story and wrote, “@Varundvn making my Bollywood dreams come true."
Later, Varun Dhawan had re-shared Gigi’s Instagram story and called the supermodel “sweetest" and the “cutest”.
Coming back to ‘Bawaal’, the film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will release on Amazon Prime Video on July 21, 2023.
