Watch: Varun Dhawan Dances To Govinda’s ‘Meri Pant Bhi Sexy’ With Shraddha Kapoor In Unseen Video
To celebrate 10 years of ‘ABCD 2’, Varun Dhawan shared a throwback video from the film’s wrap party, featuring Shraddha Kapoor alongside him.
When Varun Dhawan first stepped into the comedy genre, fans couldn’t help but draw parallels between him and 90s icon Govinda. With his energetic dance moves, animated expressions, and comic timing, especially in films like ‘Main Tera Hero’ (2014) and ‘Coolie No. 1’ (2020), Varun Dhawan seemed to carry forward the legacy of Govinda. And off-screen, he has always been a self-proclaimed admirer of the veteran actor. Now, a behind-the-scenes video from a decade ago has surfaced, showing Varun in full Govinda mode.
In the video, Varun Dhawan can be seen dancing his heart out to the iconic track ‘Meri Pant Bhi Sexy’ from the 1994 film ‘Dulaara’. The video, captured during the wrap party of Varun and Shraddha Kapoor’s 2015 dance film ‘ABCD 2’, has brought a wave of nostalgia among fans.
On June 19, ‘ABCD 2’ completed 10 years since its release. Directed by Remo D’Souza, the dance film starred Prabhu Deva, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, and a talented ensemble of dancers-turned-actors including Lauren Gottlieb, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak, and Dharmesh Yelande. It served as a stand-alone sequel to 2013’s ‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’.
To celebrate the milestone, Varun shared the unseen clip from the wrap party on his social media. In it, he is seen grooving to ‘Meri Pant Bhi Sexy’ alongside Shraddha and the rest of the cast, fully immersed in the fun of the moment.
Captioning the video, Varun wrote, “10 years of #abcd2. #bts of the wrap party of #abcd2. So many memories so much energy and just the most awesome people to work with. I remember this wrap party so well with all of us just dancing on Hindi masala songs.”
Though Varun Dhawan later deleted the post from his social media handle, the video had already gone viral, delighting fans.

Remo D’Souza also shared a video on Instagram to mark the milestone. In the caption, he wrote, “Hamara #ABCD2 10 saal ka ho gaya Thank you all for so much love for #abcd and a big thanks to my team #teamabcd without you guys this was not possible, I am going to miss lot of names here. But you are all in my heart always.”
Following the success of ‘ABCD 2’, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor reunited in 2020 for another Remo D’Souza dance flick, ‘Street Dancer 3D’. Their on-screen chemistry once again won hearts, and fans are now hoping for a new movie with the two in the future.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is currently filming ‘Border 2’, a sequel to the iconic 1997 war drama ‘Border’. The film also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Sunny Deol, and is being shot at Pune’s National Defence Academy for its third schedule.
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, ‘Border 2’ is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with JP Films.
The movie is reportedly inspired by the 1999 Kargil War between India and Pakistan and is slated for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
