Watch: Varun Dhawan Nails 50 Knuckle Push-Ups With Army Cadets On ‘Border 2’ Sets
Varun Dhawan shared a memorable moment with young Indian Army cadets while shooting for ‘Border 2’ at the National Defence Academy.
Film shoots often bring together people from all walks of life, but few sets blend reel action with real-life heroes like a war film does. While working on the third schedule of ‘Border 2’, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently had a spirited interaction with young army cadets at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune – turning a behind-the-scenes moment into a celebration of camaraderie and fitness. Taking to Instagram on Monday, Varun shared a cheerful video from the shoot location where he is seen surrounded by several NDA cadets.
He captioned the video, “BORDER2. Hamare saare young cadets ke saath knuckle challenge. #bts.”

After successfully completing the challenge, Varun Dhawan is seen cheering for the cadets, sharing hugs and exchanging warm interactions with them.
Several users reacted to the video in the comments section of the post. One user wrote, “I was waiting for a long time to see you in an army film and to see you in an army look. So proud of you dhaone dhaone versatile actor.”
Another one added, “Super duper hit border 2 in advance.”

This video comes shortly after the makers shared a group picture announcing the beginning of the film’s third schedule in Pune. Joining Varun Dhawan on set for this leg of the shoot are Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
‘Border 2’ is the much-anticipated sequel to J.P. Dutta’s iconic 1997 war film ‘Border’. The new installment is being directed by Anurag Singh, who is best known for helming the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Kesari’ (2019).
The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta and is set to release on January 23, 2026. The movie is reportedly inspired by the 1999 Kargil War between India and Pakistan.
Varun Dhawan, who was last seen in the action thriller ‘Baby John’ – a remake of the Tamil hit ‘Theri’ – continues to keep fans excited with his packed slate. Apart from ‘Border 2’, he will also be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming entertainer ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. It also features Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maneish Paul.
