Watch: Varun Dhawan Wins Hearts On Flight As He Poses For Selfies With Fans
Varun Dhawan, gearing up for ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, won fans over in a flight as he patiently posed for selfies.
With the release of Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ less than two weeks away, Varun Dhawan and his co-stars have stepped up promotions. The actor recently attended the trailer launch in Mumbai with Janhvi Kapoor, who plays the female lead, setting the tone for what will be his first theatrical release of the year. Adding to the buzz, a video of Varun from a flight has gone viral online. Shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram, the clip showed the actor standing in the economy section, waiting calmly for his turn to de-board.
Fans seated nearby eagerly approached him for selfies, and Varun Dhawan obliged each one with patience, shaking hands with admirers and flashing his signature warm smile while taking selfies.

Soon after the video surfaced online, several social media users reacted to it. One user wrote, “Nice guy varun.”
Another one added, “So down to earth.”
The upcoming release is especially significant for Varun Dhawan. After the lukewarm response to ‘Baby John’ (2024), both commercially and critically, the actor is keen for a comeback.
His last theatrical hit was ‘Bhediya’ in 2022, which means expectations are high from ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. Given his past successes with Khaitan – ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014) and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ (2017) – both of which became box office blockbusters, Varun Dhawan is optimistic that the film will revive his winning streak.
The romantic comedy also features Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, Akshay Oberoi, and Abhinav Sharma in pivotal roles. Backed by Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment, the film is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 2.
At the trailer launch event, Varun Dhawan spoke candidly about the growing conversation in the industry around rising entourage costs. He praised Dharma Productions for maintaining fairness and ensuring comfort for all actors on set: “Dharma is home for me and it will always be. When I work in a film produced by Dharma, I feel like it is my film. Dharma takes care of its actors in the best way, and there is equality. It is said that the hero gets a bigger room and the actress a smaller one — that’s not the case here.”
He also revealed his own approach to keeping his entourage lean, citing his father David Dhawan’s influence. “I have four people in my entourage. I never get my managers on set, because my father had made this rule that no managers will come on set. On his set, I never took managers, so I can’t do it on others also,” Varun explained.
With a promising ensemble, nostalgia for the ‘Dulhania’ collaborations, and Varun’s visible effort to connect with fans, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is shaping up as one of the season’s most talked-about releases.
