Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s maiden collaboration, ‘Dunki’, is one of the most awaited movies of 2023. The upcoming Hindi movie also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, and Boman Irani, among others. The movie’s trailer was released on Tuesday, and it instantly sent fans into a state of frenzy. One look at the trailer, and we can surely say that ‘Dunki’ is going to be a heartwarming film. Vicky Kaushal, who has been receiving praise from all quarters for his fantastic performance in the newly released ‘Sam Bahadur’, recently spoke about his experience of working with King Khan.

In ‘Dunki’, Vicky Kaushal seems to have a supporting role. In a chat with ace filmmaker Karan Johar on his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan 8’, the Bollywood actor spoke about SRK’s passion for his work.

On ‘KWK 8’, Vicky Kaushal shared that he had to shoot a scene with Shah Rukh Khan but the ‘Jawan’ star had to leave for Delhi urgently, and so, he ended up shooting with the megastar’s body double.

However, as soon as King Khan finished his work in Delhi, he got in touch with Vicky Kaushal and insisted that they shoot the same portion again.

“He called me and told me that we would have to reshoot and he’d be there. I told him we had done it well, but he insisted that he would come back and shoot it,” Vicky Kaushal said.

Vicky Kaushal shared that SRK even apologised to him for missing the shoot. The ‘Raazi’ actor said, “He even said, ‘I am really sorry I missed that, I couldn’t be there to give just the cues. We’ll do that shot again. I am feeling terrible that I couldn’t be there.'”

Vicky Kaushal said that he was nervous if he would be able to pull off the same shot again. “I had to call him and convince him that Raju sir (Raj Kumar Hirani) is happy and it went okay and there is no need,” the ‘Sam Bahadur’ actor added.

The ‘Masaan’ actor also praised SRK’s passion for his work and said, “That’s him. I met him and I realised how little I am doing at this age. He just gives his 100 per cent in everything. He is just something else.”

Talking about ‘Dunki’, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial will release in theatres on December 21. A Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation, ‘Dunki’ is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan. The movie is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon.

‘Dunki’ is SRK’s third release of 2023 after ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, which collectively grossed over Rs 2000 crore worldwide and it remains to be seen if he will deliver a hat-trick with ‘Dunki’.
