"We Are Playing For...": Vicky Kaushal's Epic Reply On 'Sam Bahadur' Clashing With Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal'
Vicky Kaushal gave an epic reply when he was asked about his film clashing with Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal'.
December 1 will be a big day for Bollywood as two high-profile movies will be going up against each other. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' and Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' will be releasing in theatres on the same day. Both films are seeing good advance booking numbers and it needs to be seen which film comes out on top. In the latest entertainment news, Vicky Kaushal gave an epic reply when he was asked about his film clashing with Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal'.
For the unversed, Meghna Gulzar's 'Sam Bahadur' announced its release date way before Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'.
"When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won’t say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other, they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema," Vicky Kaushal told Indian Express.
"While one player might hit fours and sixes, the other player will be at the crease and take ones and twos and maintain the strike," he added.
When asked which films will be hitting the boundary vs the single, Vicky said, “The audience will decide.”
Talking about 'Animal', the film has already sold 3,34,173 tickets for the opening day while 'Sam Bahadur' has sold 26,012 tickets for Day 1.
'Animal' is releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada while 'Sam Bahadur' is releasing just in Hindi.
'Animal' also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be releasing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Talking about 'Sam Bahadur', the film is backed by RSVP, and the movie is based on the life of Sam Maneckshaw. Vicky Kaushal is playing the titular character.
The film also stars Sanya Malhotra as Sam Bahadur's wife Siloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub are also playing the key roles of Jawaharlal Nehru and Yahya Khan, in the film.
For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal have always been appreciative of each other’s work in the past and the duo also shared screen space in Rajkumar Hirani’s 2018 film 'Sanju' where they played best friends.
