From travelling across India to holding multiple screenings and doing Ask Me Anything sessions on social media, stars extensively promote their films ahead of their release. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who is making her big-screen comeback with the new Hindi movie, ‘Neeyat’, is on a promotional spree. And she came up with an interesting and unique way to promote the upcoming murder mystery. Vidya Balan was recently spotted selling tickets of her new Hindi movie. Unique, right?
Instant Bollywood took to Instagram and shared a video of Vidya Balan as she promoted her film ‘Neeyat’, which is set to release in theatres on July 7, 2023.

In the video, Vidya Balan could be seen selling tickets to the moviegoers, who stood in line to interact with the actress and buy the tickets. A few seconds into the video, Vidya Balan also kissed the tickets before giving them to a girl.
Vidya Balan wore a red and white striped dress with a cropped jacket as she flashed her million-dollar smile while selling the tickets.
She styled her long tresses in a sleek bun and accessorised her look with a pair of golden hoop earrings.
As soon as Instant Bollywood shared the video on Instagram, several social media users took to the post’s comment section and reacted it.
One user wrote, “Kya din aa gaye hai.. Bollywood walon ko audience ko theatre tak lane ke liye kya kya karna pad raha hai.”
Another one added, “Jab film nhi chlti toh ese he jaake bechne padte h ticket.”
A third user commented, “Yeh sab kya dekhna padd rha hai.”

Talking about ‘Neeyat’, it marks Vidya Balan’s return to theatres after her successful stint on OTT with three super hit films -- ‘Shakuntala Devi’ (2020), ‘Sherni’ (2021) and ‘Jalsa’ (2022).
The new Hindi movie is directed by Anu Menon and it has been produced by Prime Video and Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment.
'Neeyat' reunites the team of 'Shakuntala Devi' - Abundantia Entertainment, Anu Menon, Vidya Balan and Prime Video. This also marks the second theatrical co-production for both Abundantia Entertainment and Prime Video.
Apart from Vidya Balan, 'Neeyat' also features Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Niki Walia, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli and Danesh Razvi.
"Neeyat narrates a gripping suspense story of an unlikely detective (Vidya Balan) who investigates mysterious murders at a billionaire’s party where nothing is what it seems and all suspects hide a secret or two," an official note from the makers read.
Coming back to Vidya Balan, she is best-known for her work in acclaimed movies like ‘Parineeta’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Kahaani’, ‘Paa’ and, ‘The Dirty Picture’.
Her credits also include the original ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘Begum Jaan’.
