Vijay Varma Says Paparazzi “Lost Their Minds” After He Started Dating Tamannaah Bhatia

Indian stars Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia, who starred together for the first time in Netflix’s ‘Lust Stories 2’, caught everyone’s attention with their on-screen chemistry and off-screen equation. Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia confirmed their relationship earlier this year after months of dating rumours. Even before the two opened up about their romance, glimpses from their public outings took the internet by storm. Paparazzi used to follow them everywhere, and even now, the paps leave no chance to photograph the two stars together.
Recently, Vijay Varma spoke about the media frenzy around his relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia during the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2023. Vijay Varma attended the first day of the event along with his ‘Jaane Jaan’ co-star Jaideep Ahlawat and the movie’s director Sujoy Ghosh.
Vijay Varma said that the pap situation “escalated” after he started dating Tamannaah Bhatia.
The ‘Darlings’ actor said, “I think I was doing fairly good on my own. The pap situation kind of escalated a bit as soon as I started seeing Tamannaah. That's where the paps lost their minds. And I couldn't control it. And there were times they came right at my doorstep and nobody came to my building before that. And I walked up to my building gate and I said ‘Do not ever come back. I live in this isolated part of Andheri that nobody should know where I live and don’t go tell your friends where I stay.’”
Talking about drawing boundaries, he said it's not just with paps but also with other people. Vijay said, "I like to have my boundaries with people. They are not my friends. I mean I like them… I don’t mind them and they like me. It’s a work relationship as well. But I don't want them to ask me personal questions. They are not journalists, even journalists should not ask as many personal questions."
