Netflix has finally unveiled the release date for Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Khufiya'.

Netflix has finally unveiled the release date for Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Khufiya', starring Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Ali Fazal. The extraordinary spy-thriller which is inspired by real life events will be releasing on the streaming platform on October 5 this year. For the unversed, the new Hindi movie is based on a book 'Escape to Nowhere', written by the former Chief of the Counter Espionage Unit of RAW, Amar Bhushan. "The film takes viewers on a gripping journey into the mysterious world of love, betrayal and all things Khufiya," stated an official release.

The movie features an interesting cast such as Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi and Azmeri Haque Badhon. 

'Khufiya' follows an RAW operative, Krishna Mehra, who is assigned a crucial mission which leaves her juggling between her dual identity as a spy and a lover.

A small teaser has been also unveiled and in it, we can see Tabu eagerly waiting for a print out. 

As soon as the paper comes out, the reveals the release date of the film.

'Khufiya' has been written by Vishal Bharadwaj and Rohan Narula and it has been produced by Vishal Bharadwaj Films. 

Earlier, in an interview with news agency PTI, Tabu had described 'Khufiya' as more than just a typical spy thriller.

“It (the film) has turned out really well. It’s thrilling, but different, like a classic Vishal film with his signature touch. We also have a fantastic ensemble cast, and it was so much fun collaborating with them. It is a personal film for all of us because we shot it quietly in Delhi, then in Canada. It’s a world that will, hopefully, pull you in," Tabu had said.
