Here's what Karan Johar had to say about Kangana Ranaut's upcoming movie 'Emergency'.

If you are a Bollywood buff, you would know that director Karan Johar and actress Kangana Ranaut don't see eye-to-eye. Their feud famously started on 'Koffee With Karan' when Kangana Ranaut had termed Karan Johar as "flagbearer of nepotism". Till now, Kangana Ranaut takes potshots at Karan Johar every now and then, calling him the "movie mafia". However, looks like, Karan Johar doesn’t seem too bothered by what Kangana Ranaut says about him, as in the latest entertainment news, he said that he is looking forward to watching Kangana Ranaut-directorial 'Emergency'.

Asked at an Indian Express event, if he’d ever like to make a film about a political event, Karan said, “The Emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”

Emergency stars Kangana Ranaut and the actor is all set to portray the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Karan and Kangana have been involved in a famous feud that began on his show, but has now become entirely one-sided.

'Emergency' stars Kangana Ranaut and the actress will be playing the role of former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

At the Indian Express event, Karan Johar was also asked what went wrong with movies like 'Adipurush', 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', 'Laal Singh Chaddha', and 'Samrat Prithviraj'.

To this question, Karan Johar replied: "I liked Laal Singh Chaddha. I don’t know why it went wrong, I enjoyed and I remember crying at the end of it.”

Karan Johar also said that apart from 'Laal Singh Chaddha', he has not seen any other movies mentioned above.

Karan also said that he would like to interview World Cup-winning cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, when he was asked to name one non-film personality he’d like to interview on 'Koffee With Karan'.

On the work front, Karan Johar made his directorial comeback to the big screen with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which marked his return after a gap of seven years.

The new Hindi movie also stars Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog and Anjali Anand.

The movie has emerged as a hit at the box office after grossing more than Rs 300 crore worldwide.
