Will Raveena Tandon Be Open To Doing 'Andaz Apna Apna 2'? Her Response
After Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon has now spoken about the sequel of 'Andaz Apna Apna'.
'Andaz Apna Apna', starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor, is one of the best comedies to come out of Bollywood, and fans continue to ask for a sequel to the film. Recently, Aamir Khan had sent the internet into a meltdown after he revealed that Rajkumar Santoshi has already started working on the sequel for the film. During an Instagram Live session, Aamir said that he is also looking forward to doing the sequel. In the latest Bollywood celebrity news, Raveena Tandon has now given her take on the sequel, saying she would love to be a part of it.
"I would love to do it. A good comedy is something I would love to do," Raveena Tandon told India Today.
Raveena Tandon, who was recently seen in Disney+ Hotstar film 'Patna Shukkla', also gave her take on getting choosier with scripts.
"I definitely am much choosier than what I started off with. But those days were different. Today is different. Today, you can end up doing great quality work rather than quantity. I'm enjoying this phase because I'm getting to do the kind of roles that I wanted to do," she said.
“Through these roles, even after enjoying the success of the films or the shows that I'm doing, I'm very happy that even the messages are going across. It's kind of bringing the conversation to the table. And that is something that gives me great satisfaction," she added.
On his birthday last month, Aamir Khan had held an Instagram Live session and it was then that he had shared an update about 'Andaz Apna Apna 2'.
"Mujhe fresh pata chala hai ki Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of 'Andaz Apna Apna'. To ye news kaafi garam garam aayi hai. Matlab usne shuru kiya hai, jyada excitement bhi hum log nahi dikha sakte," said Aamir Khan during an Instagram Live session.
"Kyunki usne abhi kaam shuru kiya, but I am glad he has started to think about it because it will be a great film for all of us to do and for audiences to watch," he added.
For the unversed, 'Andaz Apna Apna' released in 1994 and the film's star cast also included Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal (double role), Shakti Kapoor among others.
The movie tanked at the box office upon its release, but over the years, the film has become a cult classic, and it is viewed as one of the most celebrated comedies in Indian film history.
