Will Vishal Bharadwaj Collaborate With Shah Rukh Khan For A Project? Here's What The Director Said
Vishal Bharadwaj has said that the prospects of him working with Shah Rukh Khan are very high.
Acclaimed director Vishal Bharadwaj who has earlier helmed projects like 'Omkara', 'Haider', and 'Maqbool', is currently busy promoting his latest web series 'Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of the Solang Valley' which released on SonyLIV on Wednesday. The director has another release next week, with 'Khufiya', starring Tabu, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi, streaming on Netflix on October 5. In the latest entertainment news, Vishal Bharadwaj has said that the prospects of him working with SRK are very high.
Vishal Bharadwaj also gave a subtle hint towards SRK having a cameo in his latest film 'Khufiya'.
"At one point, we came very close to doing a film. It was announced also and we were going to shoot but somehow it didn’t happen," Vishal Bharadwaj told News18.
"Whenever we meet, humesha yeh rehta hai ke kab hona hai. Ab wo waqt aa raha hai. Cameo toh ho hi gaya hai indirect toh film bhi iss baar honi chahiye. Andar se mujhe bhi feeling aa rahi hai. Shah Rukh ne bhi mujhe bola hai ke iss baar mujhe kuch lag raha hai ke hum log kuch kar payenge saath mein," he added.
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan was reportedly supposed to work with the director in Chetan Bhagat's '2 States' adaptation, however, it did not work out.
Talking about Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Khufiya', the new Hindi movie is based on true events and is based on a book 'Escape to Nowhere', written by the former Chief of the Counter Espionage Unit of R&AW, Amar Bhushan.
'Khufiya' has been written by Vishal Bharadwaj and Rohan Narula and it has been produced by Vishal Bharadwaj Films.
Earlier, in an interview with news agency PTI, Tabu had described 'Khufiya' as more than just a typical spy thriller.
“It (the film) has turned out really well. It’s thrilling, but different, like a classic Vishal film with his signature touch. We also have a fantastic ensemble cast, and it was so much fun collaborating with them. It is a personal film for all of us because we shot it quietly in Delhi, then in Canada. It’s a world that will, hopefully, pull you in," Tabu had said.
