Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor's Baby Daughter’s Name Revealed, Here’s Who Named Her
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have revealed their baby daughter’s name and also shared who came up with the adorable name.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on November 6. Since then, there has been a lot of anticipation surrounding the little one’s name. Alia has finally revealed their daughter’s name and it's just adorable! The much-in-love couple’s bundle of joy has been named ‘Raha’. Alia Bhatt also revealed what the name means, and who came up with it. An ecstatic Alia took to Instagram to share their baby’s name and a photo of herself, Ranbir and Raha.
The photo, which was slightly blurred, showed Raha in her parents' arms with a Barcelona jersey in the background. The jersey had Raha’s name on it.
Revealing who named her little one, Alia wrote in the caption, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…”
“Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun,” Alia added.

Alia and Ranbir welcomed their baby girl on November 6 at HN Reliance Hospital, Mumbai.
Announcing her birth, Alia had shared, “And in the best news of our lives, our baby is here, and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love, blessed and obsessed parents, love love love Ranbir and Alia.”
Alia Bhatt had announced her pregnancy via an Instagram post in June this year.
The couple, who were recently seen together in ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’, tied the knot at their house Vastu in front of family members and close friends on April 14, 2022, after dating for several years.
