Anupam Kher Bats For 'Special 26' Sequel, Here's What Akshay Kumar Said
Here's what Akshay Kumar had to say when Anupam Kher asked for a sequel to 'Special 26'.
Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Anupam Kher-starrer 'Special 26' clocked 10 years on Wednesday and as the film hit the special milestone, Anupam Kher had a request for director Neeraj Pandey. Taking to Twitter, Kher asked his followers whether the movie should have a sequel or not. “Our film Special 26 completes 10 years today. I have asked my director Neeraj Pandeyso many times to make a Part 2. But… Now you tell me, should we have a sequel for #10YearsOfSpecial26," tweeted Kher.

In his post, Kher had also tagged Akshay Kumar. And to everyone's surprise, Akshay responded to the tweet, saying he is ready to do the sequel, provided the script is ready.

'Special 26' had released in 2013 and the movie also stars Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta and Kajal Aggrawal.
'Special 26' is a heist thriller film written and directed by Neeraj Pandey. The movie was based on the 1987 Opera House heist, and the plot follows a team of criminals (Akshay Kumar with Anupam Kher), posing as CBI officers and they end up conducting raids, and robbing politicians and businessmen.
Eventually, the real CBI gets involved with Manoj Bajpayee leading the charge.
The movie widespread acclaim from the critics and some even labelled it as the best film of 2013.
Talking about Akshay Kumar, the actor will next be seen in 'Selfiee' opposite Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
