Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his new Bollywood movie ‘Pathaan’. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the upcoming film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
‘Pathaan’ marks SRK’s comeback after his 2018 Bollywood movie ‘Zero’ tanked at the box office.
However, ‘Pathaan’ has been battling controversy ever since its first song ‘Besharam Rang’ released. A sequence in the song showed Deepika Padukone in a saffron bikini, which led to outrage across India for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
Recently, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had directed ‘Pathaan’ makers to implement "changes" in the movie, including its songs, in accordance with board guidelines.
‘Pathaan’ will release on January 25 and the trailer will reportedly be out on January 10. Apart from ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Atlee's ‘Jawan’ with Nayanthara and Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki’ opposite Taapsee Pannu.
