'Pathaan' which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, had released in the theatres on January 25 and the movie demolished records left, right and centre.
The new Bollywood movie has already made more than Rs 520 crore at the domestic box office. 'Pathaan' broke the record of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
Internationally, 'Pathaan' has crossed the coveted mark of Rs 1,000 crore, further establishing the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan in overseas markets.
'Pathaan' had also created the record for registering the most amount of money in a single day.
Earlier, director Siddharth Anand had hinted that there might be a scene in the extended version, which will give insight into where 'Pathaan' was found and which religion he belongs to.
"It's the synergy that Abbas, Sridhar, Adi and me, it's the four of us, not the three of us. The four of us having the same belief system, and the same films we’ve adorned, grown up on, and believed in and the cinema that we believe in. We share that, we share the same sentiment. So, the fact that he doesn’t have a name, and he’s found in a theatre that was actually called Navrang, which got edited out, which you might see in the OTT version," Siddharth Anand said in an interview with Galatta Plus.
In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in 'Jawan' and 'Dunki'.
'Jawan' is being directed by Atlee while 'Dunki' is helmed by '3 Idiots' fame Rajkumar Hirani.
