"David Beckham Waving At Us" Is Ananya Panday's FIFA World Cup Highlight
Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor were in attendance for the semi-final between Argentina and Croatia.
FIFA World Cup fever has gripped the entire world and Bollywood is no different. Many stars have flocked to Qatar to catch a glimpse of their favourites footballers. Argentine superstar Lionel Messi is one footballer everyone wants to catch a glimpse of, and it looks like Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor and their families have also been bitten by the FIFA World Cup bug. They are in Qatar and were in attendance to see some Lionel Messi magic.
Both the stars were at the stadium for FIFA World Cup semi-final between Argentina and Croatia. The match was won by Argentina as they defeated Croatia 3-0 to enter the final for the 6th time, however, this was not Ananya Panday's highlight.
Former England captain David Beckham was also present at the Lusail Stadium to watch the match. And the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid star ended up waving at the 'Gehraiyaan' star, and this was her highlight of the World Cup.
Taking to Instagram, Panday wrote: "What an experience. The FIFA World Cup 2022 semi-finals -Argentina beating Croatia, seeing Messi just be the legend that he is, David Beckham waving at us and getting to see all this with my Papa and best friends…”
In the video shared by Ananya Panday, she can be seen chronicling her time in Qatar. She is seen enjoying some local delicacies, travelling to the Lusail Stadium and then watching the Argentina-Croatia match.
Shanaya Kapoor had also shared pictures and videos from the match between Argentina and Croatia.
In the other semi-final, France defeated Morocco 2-0 and now they will square off against Argentina in the final of the tournament on Sunday.
On the work front, Ananya Panday was last seen in 'Liger' opposite Vijay Deverakonda. She will next be seen in 'Dream Girl 2' opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
Shanaya Kapoor will be making her debut in Bollywood film titled 'Bedhadak' and this movie has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
