Deepika Padukone, who created history by becoming the first Indian to unveil the FIFA trophy at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final, has shared a heartfelt post, expressing her happiness. Deepika Padukone unveiled the FIFA trophy along with legendary Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas on Sunday at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. After scripting history and making millions of Indians proud, Deepika Padukone shared a video on Instagram. In the caption, she went on to express how “grateful” she is after unveiling the trophy.

In the video, the ‘Pathaan’ actress looks stunning in a white shirt paired with a statement brown-coloured leather jacket and black tulle skirt. The actress completed her look with a matching black broad belt and black boots.
Deepika Padukone rounded off her look with a side-parted bun hairdo. She opted for glowy and dewy makeup, including blushed and highlighted cheeks, red lipstick, kohl-rimmed eyes and defined eyebrows.
The video featured several snippets of the actress from the unveiling ceremony with Anderson .Paak’s ‘Bubblin’ playing in the background.
Deepika Padukone’s husband and actor Ranveer Singh was also present at the FIFA World Cup Final 2022 and shared many moments from the nail-biting match on his Instagram Stories.
An ecstatic Ranveer Singh shared a video of Deepika unveiling the trophy, writing, “Bursting with pride. That’s my baby.”
Sharing another video from the ceremony, Ranveer Singh tagged Deepika Padukone and wrote, "Just check her out! Sparkling on the world's biggest stage!"
Ranveer also shared an adorable photo with Deepika in which they can be seen smiling ear-to-ear. Deepika Padukone can be seen in a black outfit, while Ranveer chose a red ensemble.
He shared another video, wherein the celebrity couple can be seen nervously watching the match.
Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, other celebrities who were present at the tournament included Kartik Aaryan, Mohanlal, Mammootty and Farah Khan Kunder. Nora Fatehi also attended the tournament as she took the stage to perform at the closing ceremony.
Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup after defeating France 4-2 on penalties.
