While the Bollywood actress created history by becoming the first Indian to unveil the FIFA trophy at the FIFA World Cup on Sunday, it was her outfit which caught everyone’s attention, leaving a section of people unimpressed.
Deepika Padukone joined legendary Spain footballer Iker Casillas at the unveiling ceremony. The ‘Piku’ actress opted for a Louis Vuitton ensemble, which featured a white full-sleeved shirt paired with a black skirt and a unique statement brown-coloured leather jacket.
Deepika’s jacket featured patchwork on the shoulder area.
The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress also donned a broad black belt and completed her look with matching black boots. While Deepika’s smile lit up the internet, her fans were left unimpressed and lashed out at her stylist over the choice of clothes.

Deepika rounded off her look with a neatly combed side-parted bun hairdo. She opted for glowy makeup, featuring blushed and highlighted cheeks, red lipstick, kohl-rimmed eyes and defined eyebrows.
Deepika Padukone unveiled the trophy during the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The likes of Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aaryan were also present at the Lusail Stadium to watch Argentina vs France World Cup final.
Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup after defeating France 4-2 on penalties. Lionel Messi won the Golden Ball while Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Boot.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in ‘Pathaan’, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The Bollywood movie, directed by Siddarth Anand, will hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
