"Degrading South Indian Culture": Ex-India Cricketer Blasts Salman Khan’s 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Over 'Yentamma' Song
Former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan is not pleased with 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' makers over the 'Yentamma' song.
Fans are eagerly awaiting for Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'. The new Hindi movie trailer will be unveiled on Monday evening, however, ahead of the trailer launch, the Farhad Samji-directorial has gotten into the middle of a controversy as former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan criticised the latest song from the new Hindi Bollywood movie -- 'Yentamma'. Taking to Twitter, the former India spinner said that the makers of the new Hindi movie represented a "classical outfit" like lungi in a "disgusting manner" in the Yentamma music video.
"This is highly ridiculous and degrading our South Indian culture. This is not a LUNGI , THIS IS A DHOTI. A classical outfit which is being shown in a DISGUSTING MANNER," tweeted the former India cricketer.

After this tweet, a user also wrote that the lead actors are wearing shoes inside the temple in the music video.
Replying to this tweet, the cricketer said: "Nowadays people do anything for money. Won’t they research what is a Lungi and a Dhoti. Even if it’s a set, it’s being projected as a temple. People associated with the movie should realise, no footwear inside the temple premises. Appealing to @CBFC_India to consider to BAN this."

The new 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' song has been composed by Payal Dev and it has been sung by Vishal Dadlani and Payal, with rap portions done by Raftaar.
The 'Yentamma' song has been picturised on Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati and Pooja Hegde.
However, the limelight truly belongs to 'RRR' star Ram Charan as he was seen doing the lungi dance alongside Salman Khan and Venkatesh Daggubati.
'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' has been directed by Farhad Samji and the new Hindi Bollywood movie stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Palak Tiwari among others.
The new Hindi Bollywood movie will release in the theatres on April 21, 2023.
