Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who is making his directorial debut with the upcoming Marathi film ‘Ved’, recently visited the Mahalakshmi Temple with his wife and actress Genelia Deshmukh. When Riteish Deshmukh interacted with the paparazzi outside the temple, one of them claimed that the actor’s team misbehaved with them. Reportedly, paps were thrown out of a hotel in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, by Riteish Deshmukh's bouncers.

During the interaction, after the journalist brought this incident to his attention, Riteish Deshmukh apologised to them.

"I apologise if you feel that you have been insulted by us. I had not organised any meeting. I have been married for 11 years, but we did not come to take a darshan (of the temple) together. So, we came to visit the temple. This is not the place to talk about movies. May the blessings of Mahalakshmi be upon you," News18 quoted the ‘Ek Villain’ actor as saying.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh have been actively promoting their film ‘Ved’, which is slated to arrive in cinemas on December 30.

The movie also stars Jiya Shankar, Ashok Saraf and Shubhankar Tawde in pivotal roles. The title track of the upcoming Marathi film features an appearance from Salman Khan.

On the personal front, Riteish Deshmukh recently celebrated his 44th birthday with Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan, actors Jennifer Winget, Ashish Chowdhary, Shabir Ahluwalia among others.

On Riteish's birthday, Salman took to Instagram and shared a glimpse of his special appearance in ‘Ved’ and wrote, "Bhau cha birthday aahe -@riteishd Gift to Banta hai (It’s Riteish’s birthday, so here’s a gift). Enjoy.”

Apart from ‘Ved’, Riteish Deshmukh will also be seen in an upcoming horror-comedy ‘Kakuda’ alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem and in Sajid Khan's comedy ‘100%’ alongside John Abraham, Nora Fatehi, and Shehnaaz Gill.
