"Hope Rani Sweeps All Awards": Anil Kapoor's High Praise After Watching 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway'

Anil Kapoor heaped praise on Rani Mukerji for her performance in 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway'.

'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway' released in theatres in March this year, and the new Hindi Bollywood movie continues to win over audience around the world. Rani Mukerji's performance was praised by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani. Even the audience appreciated how the seasoned actress pulled off a complex role of a grieving mother. In the latest entertainment news, actor Anil Kapoor said that Rani Mukerji has given one of her finest performances, and she deserves to sweep all the awards this year. 

Sharing this tweet, Anil Kapoor also shared photos with Rani Mukerji and Madhuri Dixit on Wednesday. 

"Watching #MrsChatterjeeVsNorway last night was a humbling experience...This is easily one of Rani’s finest performances, and that's saying something! The story itself is beautiful and poignant, but Rani’s performance has made it superlative," tweeted Anil Kapoor. 

"I hope Rani sweeps all the awards for this pitch perfect performance.. Such a great job by the entire crew and cast of the film. Kudos," he wrote in another tweet. 

'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway' has been directed by Ashima Chibber and the plot revolves around a true story of an Indian couple whose children were taken away from them by Norwegian welfare services in 2011. 

Rani Mukerji plays the titular role of Mrs. Chatterjee who ends up fighting a legal battle with the Norwegian government to reunite with her children.

The film is based on the lives of Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya, an Indian couple in Norway whose children were sent to foster care in May 2011. The couple was not allowed to meet their kids until they turned 18.
