Actress Palak Tiwari stirred quite a row last week when she gave a statement, saying Salman Khan wants "all girls to be covered" on his sets. Palak Tiwari had given this statement while speaking to Siddharth Kannan, and as soon as this statement went public, Salman Khan was criticised by many on social media for promoting misogyny. The backlash also prompted Palak Tiwari to issue a clarification, saying her words were "misunderstood".

“It’s really been misunderstood. All I wanted to say is that I have put certain guidelines for myself as to how to dress around people who are way senior to me, who have I pretty much grown up idolising. Salman sir is of course one of them," Palak Tiwari said in her clarification.

In the latest entertainment news, Shehnaaz Gill was also asked about Palak Tiwari's "all girls covered" statement, and it was then that she said that there "nothing like that".

"Nothing like that, I wore a very sexy dress during the promotion. Salman sir keeps motivating me and saying that you will grow in your career," Shehnaaz Gill told News18.

For the unversed, Palak Tiwari, Shehnaaz Gill and Salman Khan would be starring in upcoming Hindi movie 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', which is set to release in the theatres on April 21.

Earlier, while speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Palak Tiwari had said: "My mother didn’t cry, and that’s the good thing. She was very calm, because she knew I’d be on Salman sir’s set. She was tranquil. You know, there’s a very funny story. She has been very happy with Salman sir, because, like every desi mother ever, she has always been very critical of what I wear. When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, Salman sir had a rule: ‘every girl on my set, the neckline should be here, all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’," said Palak Tiwari in the interview.

"He’s a traditionalist. Of course, he’s like, ‘Jo pehenna hai pehno,’ but he’s also like my girls should always be protected. If there are men around who he doesn’t personally know, it’s not his personal space where he doesn’t trust everyone, he’s like, the girl should be safe, always,” she added.
