WPL 2023: The opening ceremony will be a star-studded affair!
Bollywood actresses Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani will be performing at the opening ceremony (March 4) of the inaugural Women's Premier League. The duo will be joined by singer AP Dhillon and hence, the opening ceremony promises to be a star-studded affair. This news was confirmed by the official Twitter handle of Women's Premier League on Wednesday. Taking to Twitter, the official handle of WPL wrote: "A star studded line-up. D.Y.Patil Stadium will be set for an evening of glitz and glamour. Do not miss the opening ceremony of #TATAWPL."

The opening ceremony of WPL 2023 will begin at 5:30 PM.
The first match of the inaugural season of WPL 2023 will be played between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians.
The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League is set to be played in Mumbai from 4th – 26th March, 2023.
A total of 22 matches will be played with the Brabourne Stadium & D.Y. Patil Stadium playing hosts to the marquee tournament.
The player auction was held in February and Smriti Mandhana became the most costliest player as she was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 3.4 crore.
Earlier, the Indian women's cricket team had made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side faced defeat against Australia by 5 runs.
The tournament was eventually won by Australia and this was their sixth T20 World Cup title.
